“You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” This scene in the Matrix between Morpheus the guide, and Neo the hero, has become immortalized. Neo chooses the red pill because he wants to know the truth. Don’t we all want to know the truth? Isn’t that the hero’s journey?
In that same scene, Morpheus tells Neo, “Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.” On this journey called life, no one else can experience our consciousness for us. We can follow the crowd or we can think for ourselves. We can stay stuck in a fixed mindset complete with old patterns and beliefs or we can move towards a growth mindset with open hearts and a willingness to see the oneness of all things.
This scene is so good, I just had to include the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE7PKRjrid4
What do you choose? The blue pill or the red pill?
