Recommended by Michael Singer in The Surrender Experiment, this is a handy how to for developing a meditation practice. It is also a chronicle of individuals who have experienced glimpses of enlightenment through meditation. It almost reads like a reality show where the participants compete to find enlightenment.
I wanted to learn more about the science of consciousness, so I decided to start with the basics of neuroscience. This amazing book goes from atoms to consciousness beautiful in such a simple way.

While Level Up Your Life was a motivating read filled with throwbacks to so many of my favorite childhood heroes and superheroes, the thing I will remember most is the concept of collecting underpants.
